Sectional Issue
Nationalism spread like wildfire, sectionalism threatened to shred this nation to pieces. The South relied on a plantation economy that practically used and encouraged slavery. The Northeast needed to pay attention to trade and manufacturing. In the West, settlers wanted cheap land and nothing else.
Why Don't We Want Sectionalism?
One word; Differences. Of course everyone is different. We all are. But when it comes to something important, everyone has their own ideas. One person says, "Oh I hate the school lunch, we should get rid of it and replace it with Burger King" and girl says, "Nah, I like the school lunch and I'm vegan." Then they start firing back and forth and eventually get split up on separate sides of the cafeteria and continue to talk about one another. Sectionalism is inevitable but you can control it but what you say, and what is happening. Which is also another influence for the Missouri Compromise giving sectionalism a reason to rip America piece by piece.
Why Is Sectionalism So Bad?
Sectionalism wasn't all that bad until someone spoke up about a certain topic. Until they fought so then they separated into there own sides of America:
They clashed again and again, in America. Causing America to want everything be fair, without any rebellions or anything.
